We
made excellent time reaching Cabo San Lucas, covering 450 miles in 4
days. While under sail we made an exciting entrance to a popular tourist
beach, where we were able to anchor very close to shore due to calm
conditions. With Cabo's reputation of churning tourists in and spitting
them out without so much as a peso of dignity left, we braced ourselves
for the worst. In truth, we met many friendly locals, whose welcoming
smiles and helpful hints stood in contrast to Cabo's touristy facade. A
special cheers to the pirates aboard the Sunderland who highlighted our
time in Cabo. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
